京都有不少高級餐廳,特別是在先斗町和祇園一帶,不少高級餐廳都是要預訂,或是只做熟客,有些則是對外國遊客不太歡迎。今次背包豬和箱小狐去A5和牛燒肉店吃晚飯,除了日文之外,店員簡單英語也沒問題。當日背包豬和箱小狐道去的鴨川沿岸很有氣氛的鐵板燒店,我們沒有預約直接walk-in進去。由京都地鐵京都巿役所站步行過去,只要數分鐘。

京都高級燒肉店:抵食A5和牛燒肉套餐

一進入餐廳室內,背包豬已感受到高級餐廳的氣氛。店鋪簡約的外觀,沉穩成熟的空間感。餐廳中央是一個U型吧台,只有16個座位,座位寬敞,讓人感到舒服。

餐廳職員友善,當日剛好有另一組日本人在用餐,不過員工在接待日本人和外國人有點區別,但是可以接受的範圍。晚上是和牛燒肉套餐,有不同價錢,最便宜只要5000日圓一份(未連稅)。菜單語言多樣化,有英文及中文菜單(當然也有日文!),當日背包豬和箱小狐手上的中文餐單,小部分菜式的翻譯錯誤,不過對閱讀和理解影響不大。

10000和5000日元A5和牛燒肉餐單

當日所見,5000日圓和10000的套餐(未連稅)有些基本的菜式是一樣,只有小部分不同,當中最大分別是10000日圓會有一個不同的牛肉刺身,有部份不同部位的A5和牛牛肉,還多了一個冷麵。米飯也有分別。背包豬覺得 另一點要留意的是,燒肉套餐不包含飲品,酒、水、茶等飲品都要額外付錢。

背包豬和箱小狐點了一個10000日元和5000日元燒肉套餐。廚師給我們每人一隻小金牛。小金牛是用來做什麼? 不會是金牛農曆年的朱古力吧?

廚師向我們解說和牛的各種部位和吃法,也在我們面前展示和處理肉類。牛肉是廚師現場為每一道料理即時製作,不過背包豬吃得慢,所以牛肉上菜速度總是快過背包豬吃的速度。
前菜是一個有趣的組合。湯是韓式燒肉常見的海帶湯,還有泡菜,味道是韓國泡菜,調味清爽。炒蔬菜是日式炒雜菜。時令沙拉,開胃蔬菜,切成牛形狀的紅蘿蔔也很可愛。
心形飽滿生肉片醬,把雞蛋搗拌,混上肉醬,配上紫菜,很好吃。
前一天背包豬在嵐山吃了A5和牛排(嵐山和牛多少錢? 味道如何? 留意稍後分享!),這間餐廳是食客自己燒烤,讓背包豬深深體會到,就算是A5和牛,燒得過火的,味道口感相差很遠....
當日有一塊燒得過火的A5和牛,與背包豬在1000yen任食燒肉店的任食牛肩肉,口感和味道相差其實不大。為此,吃飯要專心,好好掌握好火候,要不然浪費了牛肉,也浪費了金錢。

最好吃的是?

當日最好吃的是只在10000yen套餐中出現的菲力 / 莎朗牛排(專心吃飯,記不清),最好的部分,大塊、厚且仔細地切割,肉味濃郁,肉汁多,肉質鬆軟,確實讓背包豬體會了A5和牛與平常一般牛肉的分別。
牛肉刺身也是特別的菜式,5000yen與10000yen兩款牛肉刺身,兩者的部位不同,10000yen的牛肉刺身脂肪較多,配上蛋黃會更滑。背包豬第一次吃牛肉刺身,與煮好的牛肉相比,肉軟軟的口感有點像吞拿刺身,可是咬下去會較爽口,之後會有肉的甜味,還有油脂的香氣。箱小狐的肚子有點偏向「玻璃胃」,還好吃完沒事。
雖然廚師在每道燒肉的有講解是哪一款肉的部位,因為款式太多,背包豬和箱小狐又忙著吃,沒記住...背包豬和箱小狐只記得當晚牛排最好吃,就算是5000日圓的套餐,牛肉質量都很好。如果牛肉燒得不過火的話,基本上當晚的牛肉質素和味道都不錯。配上柚子醬和大蒜,肉味十足。
相比牛肉的驚艷,冷麵沒太大特別,口感和味道正常。

烤肉最佳搭檔,當然是米飯!
5000日元和10000日元搭配的米飯不同,10000日元套餐可選擇咖喱飯或白飯。香濃郁的咖喱配上牛肉和白飯很好吃。
飯後甜品是柚子雪糕﹐清爽可口。

吃飽喝足,我們逛了地下街的商店,返回酒店休息。

燒肉套餐比我想像的更飽。 餐廳氣氛很好,在精緻的高級烤肉餐廳盡情享用嚴選的黑毛和牛,有一種奢華的感覺。和牛肉質鮮嫩,醬汁也很對味,感受到不一樣的用餐體驗。

- Experience the exquisite taste of fancy grilled meat dishes in Kyoto

We walked around some famous places in Kyoto, as you could see in the previous episode. Now, it's time to take a dinner.

The restaurant had a cozy and elegant vibe. We sat at the U-shaped bar that has only 16 seats. The seats are roomy and comfy.

We treated ourselves to a couple of wagyu platters.We got a lesson from the chef on how to enjoy Wagyu beef and what makes it special. He showed us the different cuts of the meat and how he prepared them right in front of us.

The most exquisite cut of Kuroge Wagyu A5 grade filet mignon, large and thick, sliced with care. A heavenly sensation as you take a gentle bite.

If you're looking for a delicious and tender meat dish, you might want to try slicing some beef tongue thinly and cooking it to your liking. It may sound weird, but beef tongue has a great flavor and a soft texture that melts in your mouth.

Seasonal salad.They're packed with crisp greens, juicy fruits, and crunchy nuts that will satisfy your taste buds and nourish your body. Plus, they come with a side of stomach-boosting vegetables that will help you digest and feel good.

The kimchi platter has a refreshing and tangy flavor. It's like a firework of taste in my mouth. The vegetables and carrots that are shaped like cows are also very cute.

The kimchi has a rich and meaty taste that goes well with the yuzu sauce, which is a citrus-based sauce made from a Japanese fruit. The sauce adds a tangy and refreshing flavor to the dish, along with the aromatic garlic.

A yummy dish of carpaccio with a heart-shaped cut, topped with scrambled eggs and a rich meat sauce.

Enjoy it with some seaweed for extra flavor and texture. It's a hearty and satisfying meal.

Mini cold noodles. These noodles are tossed with a tangy and spicy sauce, and topped with crunchy peanuts and fresh cilantro.

Rice and beef curry. It's a simple dish, but it's packed with flavor. The beef is tender and juicy, and the curry sauce is rich and creamy. You can scoop it up with some fluffy white rice and enjoy every bite.

Grapefruit ice cream. It has a tangy flavor that wakes up your taste buds and a creamy texture that melts in your mouth. A dessert is both pleasant and refreshing.

I was surprised by how much food there was in this combo, and the Kuroge Wagyu beef was amazing. It was chosen with care and quality in mind.

After exploring the shops in the underground street, we headed back to our room for some relaxation.
